Covid 19

The last few months have been a challenging and stressful time for all of us coping with the Covid-19 situation.

We would like to thank you for your patience and co-operation during this time.

At Alert Level 1, we still have precautions in place to protect our patients who are vulnerable and are asking all patients

making appointments to let us know in advance if they have a blocked or runny nose, sore throat, head cold, sneezing,

post nasal drip, cough or shortness of breath.

This includes any support person who is attending your appointment with you and children attending Child Health Clinics.

Do NOT come to the Medical Centre if you have any of the above symptoms.

Please PHONE us first.

Respiratory Clinic

To protect our well patients, patients with respiratory symptoms (any of the symptoms mentioned above) will be triaged

by one of our doctors on the phone and then seen in a separate clinic at the Medical Centre.

Unfortunately this may not be your usual doctor. Patients who have respiratory problems will be asked to wait in their car

and to phone us when they have arrived for their appointment.

SATURDAY clinics are closed in the meantime.

Phone Consultations

Phone consultations with your GP are now available as an alternative to a consultation at the Medical Centre.

They are not suitable for all consultations, especially if a physical examination is required.

Usual consultation charges apply.

Shingles Vaccine

(Zoster) Zostavax (Shingles) vaccines are free for patients who are aged 65 years old.

There is also a catch up programme which runs until the end of this year for people aged 66 to 80 years.

The vaccine is also free for this age group until the end of December.

After December 2020, unfunded shingles vaccines will cost $240.00.

This is a great opportunity to have a FREE shingles vaccine.
