Benefits of Enrolling

Barrington Medical Centre is a member of the Pegasus Health PHO (Primary Health Organisation) which provides funding, subsidised care and special programs for patients who are enrolled.

• This also means that doctor’s appointments are significantly cheaper for enrolled patients.
• To qualify for subsidies and reduced fees, patients can be enrolled at only one Medical Practice at a time.
• You are also included in organised screening and recalls. This requires that you sign an enrolment form.

• Print it off, complete and sign.
• Drop your form into reception with your ID and Proof of Eligibility.
• We cannot accept emailed enrolment forms as we need to see your ID.
• Remember to bring in Proof of Eligibility. (See details on the enrolment form).
• Please note that every patient over the age of 16 is required to sign their own enrolment form.
• Barrington Medical Centre operates a geographic enrolment scheme which covers a wide area. Our reception team will let you know if you are not eligible to enroll with us if you do  not live  within our defined geographic area.
• New patients who are aged 45 years and over, are required to have an appointment with one of our nurses to update their health information, prior to seeing the doctor.  There is a $25.00 charge for this appointment.  Please arrange an appointment time with reception.

• Online appointments are available via our patient portal which is managed by Managemyhealth.  This is for enrolled patients for standard routine appointments only.  Ask at reception for a registration form to use Managemyhealth or click on this link to sign up -  www.managemyhealth.co.nz
• Managemyhealth is hosted in a secure environment in New Zealand and uses SSL security technology to ensure your information is completely safe and secure. 
• If you have not been to see us for 3 years, you will need to re-enrol, so print the same form, complete it and send to secretary@barringtonmc.co.nz, or bring it in to Reception.

Please be aware there is up to 10 working days to process your enrolment. If you require prescriptions before the 10 day period please contact your previous medical centre.
