Pharmacist

Jacqui is our on site pharmacist. Her job is to help patients get the most out of their medicines and is a service that is usually provided free of charge.

Manatu Hauroa (Ministry of Health) supports immunisation and Barrington Medical Centre offers the full National Immunisation Schedule for all eligible patients. We can also provide some vaccinations which are not included on the Immunisation Schedule; please call to discuss your queries and the costs of those vaccines.

On Site Pharmacist

Appointments can be made with Jacqui to either visit you at home, or at the Practice to help you learn what your medicines are for, how you can take them in a way that fits in with your life and discuss any concerns you might have. If you have problems taking or using the medicines you currently have, she will work with you and your doctor to find alternatives that suit you better.

She can also provide you with a yellow card - a list of all your medicines. This is handy to bring to hospital appointments and to remind you which medicines to take at what time of day. She works closely with the doctors, nurses and your pharmacist, to help make sure you are taking the best medications to keep you well and that they are supplied in a way that helps you to remember to take them. Please call reception to arrange a time to speak to her at the Practice.
